Job summary

Transcendia, Inc. in Richmond, Indiana, is seeking a Lead Operator for the Sheet Extrusion line (C shift). The role focuses on controlling extrusion operations from raw material input to finished product and ensuring production schedules are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, 1–3 years of experience preferred.
• Ability to work at a fast pace.
• Ability to multi task and read production tickets.
• Ability to perform math calculations including fractions.
• Must be able to read tape measure, including micrometer.
• Must be computer literate.
• Ability to maintain production standards.
• Must be dedicated to continuous improvement.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, bend, stretch, or stand for extended periods.

• Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Maintains time and production records.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

To perform tasks necessary to efficiently control the operation of extrusion line from raw material input to finished product.

Must be able to work C Shift: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Every Other Sunday, 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM. $1 per hour shift incentive applies to C shift.

Job Duties:

• Maintains a clean and orderly work area/warehouse
• Maintains a safe working environment by following environments by following all company safety policies and procedures and reports unsafe conditions and incidents
• Maintains company's quality standards
• Responsible for training employees
• Computes amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from storage area
• Supports plans flow of materials through department and develops physical layout of machines according to work orders
• Communicates with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met
• Directs/instructs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
• Maintains time and production records
• Other duties as assigned
