Job summary

Transcendia is seeking a Lead Operator for the Sheet Extrusion process in Richmond, Indiana. The role involves controlling extrusion operations from raw input to finished product, with a C shift that runs Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and alternating Sundays from 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM, plus a $1 per hour shift incentive.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 years experience preferred.
• Ability to work at a fast pace.
• Ability to multi-task and read production tickets.
• Ability to perform math calculations including fractions.
• Must be able to read a tape measure, including micrometer.
• Must be computer literate.
• Ability to maintain production standards.
• Must be dedicated to continuous improvement.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, bend, stretch, or stand for extended periods of time.

• Maintains a safe working environment by following all safety policies and reporting unsafe conditions and incidents.
• Maintains company's quality standards.
• Responsible for training employees.
• Computes amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from storage area.
• Supports plans flow of materials through department and develops physical layout of machines according to work orders.
• Communicates with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Directs/instructs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Maintains time and production records.
• Other duties as assigned
