Job summary

As a safety leader, you’ll drive 5S, scrap reduction, and cross-training across multiple lines, while mentoring staff and maintaining accurate production logs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• 6+ years of production or assembly experience preferred.
• White Belt certification or higher required.
• Expert knowledge of equipment, troubleshooting and optimization.
• Cross-trained to most lines or processes on site.
• Proficient in basic math and measurement tools.
• Able to communicate issues to Process or Maintenance staff.
• Complete production logs and quality control forms accurately.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of assigned work area, line or cell, ensuring that team members are performing tasks efficiently and safely.
• Advanced machine operation, product assembly, and inspection of product.
• Safety leader for overall work area including machine safety; guides others in safe practices.
• Responsible for 5S of work areas.
• Responsible for scrap reduction; drives improvement efforts.
• Responsible for training/cross-training personnel.
• Provide break coverage when needed.
• Assuring adherence to standard work; work order/material management.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
