Job description

Dalco-GFT Nonwovens is seeking a Lead Operator to oversee the efficient operation of the non-woven line for the assigned shift. The ideal candidate will have experience as a lead operator and possess the ability to add, subtract, and multiply. They should also be familiar with labeling systems, waste management, and be able to lift up to 10 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and direct team members to meet objectives set forth by Dalco management
• Set an example for team members in areas of work ethics, attitude, waste-consciousness, priorities, punctuality, and dependability
• Work with office staff to facilitate completion of orders and be familiar with customer profiles
• Identify problems and assist in the resolution of recurring issues
• Provide feedback to plant manager that could improve efficiency and productivity
• Complete all requisite paperwork in a timely manner
• Perform all duties of Winder and Hoppers positions efficiently
• Service the needle boards and operate equipment including but not limited to the bologna slicer, forklift, and core cutter
• Abide by Dalco Nonwovens policies and procedures as stipulated in the employee handbook
• Follow all safety rules

Requirements:

• Ability to add, subtract, and multiply
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs as needed
• Read/write and understand English
• Experience with waste management and identifying problems
• Provide feedback to plant manager
• Must be able to perform all duties of Winder and Hoppers positions efficiently
• Service the needle boards and operate equipment including but not limited to the bologna slicer, forklift, and core cutter
