Role Overview
12 hr. Day Shift
Responsible for guiding the shift activities within the assigned production area to execute the Production Schedule and ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time. The Tier 1 Technician fulfills the responsibilities of this role when vacant.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the shift with administrative and technical guidance.
- Generate work orders based on production planning.
- Print labels as needed.
- Issue materials to production orders and report operational completion.
- Plan and allocate resources to manufacturing lines.
- Ensure all lines have necessary supplies and resources.
- Train all machine operators, utilizing trainers as needed.
- Coordinate communication with QC and production, updating supervisors.
- Assist technicians/operators to maintain high OEE.
- Fill in for operators during breaks, handling crates, hoppers, and equipment adjustments.
- Record and report production results, updating boards and graphs.
- Ensure personnel training and compliance with systems, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D required; associate’s in Industrial/Electrical Maintenance preferred or 5-7 years’ experience with vocational or military training.
- Leadership ability, safety focus, clear communication, and understanding of product lines.
- Technical leadership experience required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, sit, and handle machinery frequently.
- Visual acuity required.
