Job summary

Contech in Caldwell, ID is seeking a Lead Operator to contribute to our plant's daily production and ensure safety, quality, and Lean manufacturing standards.

You will collaborate with foreman and production planners, train new staff, monitor schedules, uphold 5S/TPM, and drive continuous improvement in a dynamic facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1-2 years experience in a lead/supervisory role.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with foreman to make certain everyone is aware of production schedules.
• Keep communication open with employees and managers.
• Trains new employees on various jobs.
• Discuss daily production with Lead, Production Planner, or Plant Manager.
• Enforce safety and work rules.
• Ensure quality specifications are being met on ALL product produced
• Ensure that work areas are kept clean daily
• Ensure Lean principles are being utilized; 5S, TPM, & Quick Changeover are used to eliminate downtime.
• Ensure corrective action takes place on all non-conformances in accordance with Pre/Post Shift Audits as well as Monthly Leadership Audits.
• Other duties assigned.
