Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Forklift Operator to support our plant operations. You will operate forklifts to assemble loads, handle materials, and complete required paperwork in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

The role requires prior manufacturing experience, safety focus, and the ability to work outdoors. Welding skills (MIG) and precision tasks are strongly preferred, with opportunities for overtime and company benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing, production, or distribution experience.
• Certification on Forklift Operation preferred.
• Ability to operate forklift in accordance with required guidelines.
• Ability to work outdoors or in open air environment.
• Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG welding.
• Technical training or welding experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work with precision instruments.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Great work ethic and impeccable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre- and post-shift daily audits and maintain the forklift's daily safety checklist.
• Operate forklift to build loads by assembling product into bundles and complete detailed paperwork for each load.
• Assist with material handling to ensure raw materials and finished goods are stored in the proper location.
• Prepare lumber for dunnage use, operate saws and nail guns with precision.
• Regularly fuel and maintain forklift and ensure it is parked in designated areas at the end of each day.
• Record and turn in production records as required.
• Keep yard area in a neat and orderly condition by organizing strapping, boards, stringers, and more.

As a forklift operator with Contech you will contribute to America's essential infrastructure including drainage systems, pipe, bridges and structures, and stormwater management.
