Job summary

Festo Corporation in the United States is seeking a Head of OPEX to lead a value stream–oriented organisation at the plant level, developing lean practices in line with the production system. You will drive cost and cash savings, shape the OPEX capability via training with HR, and establish local KPIs while standardising the production system.

Strong leadership and intercultural skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Technical degree with a focus on management and production engineering.
• Strong OPEX / Lean knowledge at international level.
• Managerial experience.
• Intercultural knowledge / competence.
• Fluent in English.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• OPEX experience at plant level with verified cost and cash savings.

Responsibilities

• Enable the organization to achieve cost and cash savings at plant level.
• Lead the local OPEX organisation career path in cooperation with HR.
• Develop and qualify the local OPEX capabilities with HR (training).
• Develop and standardize the local Festo value production system (standards).
• Consult plant management on the operational excellence strategy.
• Be a member of the plant management team and work with cross-functional groups.
• Lead and develop the local OPEX team and monitor performance.
