Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies seeks an OpenShift Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and operate enterprise-grade Red Hat OpenShift platforms across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will own the platform lifecycle, from provisioning to ongoing operations and developer enablement.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift, strong Linux skills, and a security‑first mindset. This is a 100% remote US position with a focus on stability, reliability, and scalable

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
8+ years experience operating container platforms with at least 3 years on OpenShift.
Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and OpenShift internals.
Strong Linux administration, networking, performance tuning.
IaC experience with Ansible, Terraform or Helm.
CI/CD pipelines on OpenShift/Kubernetes using Tekton, Jenkins, or Argo CD.
Scripting in Bash, Python, or Go.
Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and tracing tools.
Security-focused platform hardening and compliance awareness.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation.

Responsibilities

Architect, provision, and operate Red Hat OpenShift clusters across environments.
Design multi-tenant platforms with project isolation and RBAC.
Automate cluster lifecycle: installation, upgrades, scaling, decommissioning.
Onboard development teams with self-service patterns and templates.
Operate OpenShift networking, SDN, ingress, routes, and firewall integration.
Manage OpenShift storage strategies and external integrations.
Implement monitoring, logging, tracing with OpenShift observability stack.
Harden platform with image scanning, runtime protection, and compliance.
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines on OpenShift using Tekton/Jenkins/Argo.
Develop DR/backups and practice regular failover/restores.
Plan upgrades with validation and rollback; tune resource quotas.
Mentor engineers and share OpenShift SME knowledge.
