Job summary

Frost is seeking a Software Engineering Manager – Open Banking to lead a team delivering secure, scalable Java/Spring Boot microservices. You’ll partner with Product and Architecture to execute roadmaps, drive Agile delivery, and champion engineering excellence with CI/CD and observability.

You will mentor engineers, manage stakeholder expectations, and guide design decisions across cloud-native systems, APIs, and data flows in a regulated banking context.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable software.
• Proven stakeholder management and Agile delivery experience.
• Proficient in Java/Spring Boot microservices and API-first design.
• Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD, and cloud-native development.
• Familiarity with observability tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, AppDynamics).
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design and operational reliability.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire development lifecycle for a team of software engineers.
• Review coding to align with business needs and Frost standards.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, BAs, and engineers to estimate effort and design systems.
• Provide strategic IT management insights.
