Job summary

New York Cancer and Blood Specialists (NYCBS) in Brooklyn, NY, seeks a Head Nurse (RN) to lead nursing staff across shifts and uphold our patient‑centered quality of care. You will manage all nursing duties, assign patient loads, review medication orders, train new hires, and maintain a safe, efficient environment to ensure timely and compassionate treatment.

NYS RN license and a minimum of two years in a managerial role are required; BLS certification is also required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid New York State RN license.
• BLS certification is required.
• Strong assessment and communication skills are essential.
• Experience managing nursing staff is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of nursing responsibilities during each shift.
• Assign patient loads, medication orders, training of new hires, and maintain a safe environment with focus on efficient, timely, and knowledgeable care while ensuring patient satisfaction.
• Head Nurse is responsible for ensuring staff reflect the organization’s values at all times.
