Job summary

AstraZeneca in Cambridge/Kendall Square seeks a technical specialist for clinical intelligence and real-world evidence to translate complex data into decision-ready insights for Phase 3 investments and trial design. You will lead multimodal models across clinical, genomic, imaging, and real-world data, collaborate with Global Product Teams, and ensure analyses meet regulatory and HTA expectations.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in quantitative discipline (PhD or equivalent).
• 5+ years in evidence strategy and real-world evidence or analytics.
• Strong methodological foundation in causal inference and observational design.
• Hands-on ML and multimodal modeling experience.
• Experience building external control arms or trial simulators.
• Understanding of regulatory and HTA evidence standards.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL; cloud familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize evidence gaps across product lifecycle with Hematology stakeholders.
• Apply ML and causal inference to answer questions on stratification, external controls, and prognostic risk.
• Develop and validate multimodal patient models for trials and routine care.
• Turn data into decision-ready insights on standard of care, patient pathways, and benchmarks.
• Collaborate with platform teams to enable new tools and Hematology-specific intelligence.
• Coordinate with Translational Science and Clinical Development to integrate signals like digital endpoints and biomarkers.
