Job summary

Hood Construction in Columbia, SC is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial projects. This on-site role will drive schedules, safety, quality, and coordination across multi-trade teams.

You will manage daily activities from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring plans and specs are followed and stakeholders stay informed. Experience with Procore or PlanGrid is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervising commercial construction projects.
• Ability to read, interpret, and execute plans and specs.
• Experience leading multi-trade crews.
• Proficiency with Procore, PlanGrid or similar.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations from preconstruction through punch list.
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, vendors, inspection activities.
• Maintain project schedules and identify risks.
• Review drawings and contract documents for accurate execution.
• Facilitate site meetings and communicate with teams, clients.
• Enforce safety standards and promote jobsite safety.
• Ensure work complies with codes and requirements.
