Job summary

Dyne Therapeutics in Waltham, MA is seeking a Principal Scientist of Oligonucleotide Development to lead the synthesis strategy for PMO and modified ASO payloads, coordinating internal efforts and external CDMOs toward IND-enabling studies.

The role drives scalable, cost-effective manufacturing processes and serves as the technical lead for external partnerships while steering preclinical assets and CMC strategies within a matrixed organization.

Qualifications

• Strong track record in PMO and modified ASO synthesis and purification.
• Experience with CDMOs and tech transfer.
• Experience in preclinical to IND-enabling development including CMC.
• Experience in regulatory filings (IND/IMPD) documentation.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical leadership and strategy for PMO and modified ASO payload development.
• Oversee process development, analytical strategy, and impurity control for clinical supply.
• Coordinate with external CDMOs and manage tech transfer activities.
• Support regulatory submissions and prepare Module 3 documentation.
• Review cGMP documentation, Master Batch Records, and campaign summaries.
