Job summary

Deep Genomics in Cambridge, MA is seeking a highly skilled analytical scientist to lead oligonucleotide characterization and formulation for in vitro and in vivo studies. The role includes ensuring identity and purity of oligos from external CROs and internal metabolism experiments, plus building an analytics lab strategy and sample tracking.

Qualifications

  • PhD or MS with strong analytical chemistry background in oligonucleotides.
  • Experience with HPLC and mass spectrometry.
  • Experience in oligonucleotide analytics and formulation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain efficient workflows for analytical characterization of DG oligos at CROs.
  • Develop and implement a future plan for LCMS system installation for oligonucleotide analysis.
  • Act as DG KOL for characterization of oligonucleotides (identity, purity, stability).
  • Develop analytical methods for the future LCMS system to characterize research oligonucleotide samples.
  • Generate Certificate of Analysis reports from such data.
  • Perform formulation processes to provide research samples for in vitro and in vivo experiments including endotoxin analysis.
  • Develop and maintain a sample tracking system for the compounds that come into Deep Genomics at Cambridge.
  • Future responsibilities may include bioanalysis of PK samples.
