Job summary

Talos Energy LLC is seeking an Automation Engineer for offshore operations in the Gulf Coast region. You will serve as the primary automation focal point for offshore assets, supporting PLC/HMI/SCADA systems, troubleshooting, and project execution with field teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in an engineering field and 5+ years of OT/automation experience in oil & gas, with offshore travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of automation/OT experience in oil & gas or similar.
• Offshore experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide asset-aligned Automation support for offshore operations and troubleshoot issues.
• Coordinate with OT Systems, I&E, and Field personnel to ensure safe, reliable production.
• Review and update drawings, backups, and documentation; support MOC processes and project closeout.
