Job summary

University Physicians’ Association seeks a full-time Office Supervisor for University Thoracic Surgeons in Knoxville, TN. The role leads a growing thoracic surgery practice within the Cancer Institute at the University of Tennessee Medical Center and oversees scheduling, staffing, registration, back-office operations, payroll and insurance verification.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical workflows.
• Knowledge of JACHO, OSHA, CDC guidelines and compliance requirements.
• Experience in payroll processing and staff scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain overall business office functions including scheduling, staffing, front and back-office operations.
• Oversee payroll, order tracking, quality control, and insurance verification.
• Lead and train office staff, manage performance, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Serve as liaison for scheduling conflicts and communications with providers and staff.
