Job summary

The Staff Occupational Therapist at GREATPLAINS is responsible for evaluating and treating residents, supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and aides, and collaborating with families and the healthcare team to develop comprehensive care plans. You will maintain documentation, ensure licensure compliance, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy; Master's/Doctorate preferred.
• Proficient in Net Health and Point Click Care data input.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state with active license.
• CPR certification if required by licensure.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine OT needs, functional limitations, and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and independence.
• Assist nursing with training of Restorative Aides and supervise OTAs.
• Communicate progress with physicians, nursing staff, residents, and families.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with policies and payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment and educate residents and caregivers on goals and home programs.
