Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Lead Scheduling Specialist to optimize nursing staffing across hospital locations. You will create master schedules, balance budgeted resources, and develop variance analyses to guide cost-effective staffing decisions.

Responsibilities include coordinating full-time, part-time, and float pool staffing, using Kronos and Excel for reporting, and ensuring coverage for all shifts while minimizing overtime and agency use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1 year of experience at Rogers in Scheduling Specialist II role.
• Three (3) years' experience in a hospital unit or office setting.
• Computer experience is required.
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license.
• Formal training in aggression control preferred; annual recertification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Create a master schedule two weeks prior to start; include full-time, part-time, and float pool staff.
• Balance schedules across seven days within program budgets.
• Produce a daily staff schedule with assignments by core staff and skill mix.
• Use scheduling software and generate a staff variance report in Excel.
• Coordinate agency staffing, verify invoices, and document variance justifications.
• Ensure staffing coverage for first/second shifts and weekends; respond to absences with cost-effective alternatives.
• Lead scheduling for Rogers-Oconomowoc and Milwaukee campuses and communicate with management.
