Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management seeks a Charge Nurse (RN or LPN) to lead nursing care for residents in our unit. The role emphasizes safety, effective planning, supervision of staff, and timely execution of physician orders.

The ideal candidate will possess an active RN or LPN license, strong English communication, and the ability to manage assignments and respond to interruptions with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Must have active RN or LPN license.
• Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal or written instructions in English.
• Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Ability to be flexible and positive with intermittent interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure resident safety.
• Plan, organize, and direct nursing functions of patients in the unit.
• Assign nursing tasks appropriate to staff skill levels.
• Maintain standards of patient care.
• Identify problems and guide staff to solutions.
• Create a work climate promoting growth and job satisfaction.
• Implement physicians' orders accurately and promptly.
• Enforce infection-control policies.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Collaborate with staff across departments and with visitors.
• Obtain and document comprehensive nursing history.
• Perform basic patient assessments and document vital signs.
• Notify physicians of condition changes.
• Develop care plans for incoming shifts.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures.
