Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of CNAs in accordance with regulations and facility policies.
• Ensures nursing policies and procedures are followed by staff.
• Participates in admission, discharge and transfers of residents.
• Observes resident status, notifies physician and family as needed, and documents findings.
• Transcribes physician orders and administers medications as written.
• Performs wound care and other direct care tasks as ordered.
• Leads nursing unit and collaborates with interdisciplinary team.
