Job summary

Valcor Engineering Corporation seeks a senior engineer to lead design and development of fluid flow valve components for nuclear applications. You will coordinate engineering efforts across design, production, quality, and planning to meet customer requirements and manufacturing schedules.

The role requires extensive valve design experience, familiarity with ASME/ASTM standards, and the ability to prepare comprehensive design reports. SolidWorks, EPICOR, and Mathcad experience are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Five years’ design experience in fluid flow components with at least 3 years valve design in nuclear industry.
• Knowledge of ASME Section III and related valve standards; familiarity with military standards.
• Experience with CGD, Appendix-B, and 21 for Nuclear Industry.
• Proficient in producing valve design reports and calculations.
• Strong background in geometric tolerancing and ASME codes.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specs and select or design valve models; own technical performance.
• Prepare drawings, BOM, test procedures/reports, and release documents for production.
• Develop operability calculations considering forces and seismic effects.
• Support production, quality, and purchasing with technical information.
• Collaborate with engineers to meet deadlines and respond to customer needs.
