Schedule: Full Time Days

This community's appeal continues to grow as exciting new developments are underway near the AdventHealth Minneola campus.
- AdventHealth Minneola's 80-bed hospital will bring inpatient care to the growing population of South Lake County. Spanning approximately 204,000 square feet, the hospital will include an emergency department; full-service imaging; five operating suites; endoscopy services; outpatient laboratory; heart catheterization labs; critical care and general medical/surgical rooms. We are proud to be delivering clinical solutions for the mind, body and spirit in the Minneola community.
The role you’ll contribute\:
Under general supervision, the Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and treatment of disease in humans. Is authorized and delivers quality care to patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric. Meets with customers, partners and team members to ensure service levels are maintained (Rounding). Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The value you’ll bring to the team\:
- Utilizes two patient identifiers to confirm patient/exam accuracy before continuing with patient examination. Reviews and ensures physician request meets clinically valid exam indicator requirements. Prepares appropriate radionuclide for procedure, explains procedure to patient and aseptically administers radionuclide using universal BSI principles.
- Ensures that equipment has met all quality control requirements and, working with a minimum of supervision, performs patient examination utilizing age-specific care techniques (see competencies) in a safe and responsible manner, utilizing proficiency with camera acquisition and computer processing while evaluating image quality to ensure good technical and diagnostic detail.
- Presents completed exam and any patient historical data to radiologist/cardiologist for review. Assists with image manipulation or additional imaging as requested.
- Assists patient with dressing, answering any questions the patient may have regarding their exam and expectations of results and releases patient with directions to exit the hospital if needed.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed\:
- NMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Tech Current valid State of Florida license
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CMNT) OR ARRT-N OR Nuclear Medicine Technology Cert Board (NMTCB)
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
