Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Supervisor to oversee Nuclear Medicine Technologists and ensure accurate preparation of radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic studies. You will guide calibration, imaging procedures, and safety practices under physician supervision.

The role requires 2-4 years of supervision experience and graduation from an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine program, with a strong emphasis on patient care and safety standards.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of AMA approved school of Nuclear Medicine required.
• 2-4 years supervising Nuclear Medicine Technologists.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Nuclear Medicine Technologists.
• Prepare and determine radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic studies.
• Calibrate and operate imaging equipment.
• Perform diagnostic studies using scanners or scintillation cameras.
• Measure radioactivity with Geiger counters and detectors.
• Administer therapeutic doses under physician direction.
• Ensure radiation safety and proper disposal of radioactive materials.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsible for oversight of Nuclear Medicing Tecnnologists. Responsible for preparing and determining radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies, utilizing variety of equipment and following prescribed procedures.

1. 1. Mixes stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculates doses, and administers doses, under direction of physician.
2. 2. Calibrates equipment.
3. 3. Performs diagnostic studies on patients as prescribed by physician, using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film.
4. 4. Measures radioactivity, using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors.
5. 5. Administers therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under direction of physician.
6. 6. Follows radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials.
7. 7. Other relevant duties as assigned

REQUIRED:
