Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a radiopharmaceutical technologist to prepare and render radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic studies. You will work with a variety of equipment and follow prescribed procedures to ensure patient safety and accuracy in imaging.

  • Calibrates equipment.
  • Performs diagnostic studies on patients as prescribed by physician, using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film.
  • Measures radioactivity, using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors.
  • Administers therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under direction of physician.
  • Follows radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials.
  • Other duties as assigned
