Job summary

PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF (DON) in Guam Detachment is seeking a NUCLEAR ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS INSPECTOR (SHIPS) LEADER to supervise inspection teams responsible for electronic, electrical and electro‑mechanical inspections on nuclear reactor plant, refueling and overhaul work.

The role requires ensuring safety, compliance with directives, and leading by example while coordinating with supervisors and other inspectors. Overseas duties and security clearance are required as part of the assignment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading inspection teams for nuclear systems.
• Ability to perform electronic, electrical and electro‑mechanical inspections.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and overseas requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform electronic, electrical and electro‑mechanical inspections, and mechanical inspections, pre‑arrival and material condition assessment inspections.
• Provide in‑process, product, pre‑test, test inspections, certification and acceptance of completed work reviews on nuclear reactor plant, refueling, and overhaul work.
• Lead by example, communicate with supervisor, and ensure safe, compliant inspections.
• Ensure needed plans, materials and tools are available and obtain decisions from supervisors as needed.
• Maintain knowledge and answer questions on procedures, policies, and technical orders.
• Conduct surveillance of ongoing or completed work to ensure compliance with directives.
