Job summary

VAS, Inc. seeks an experienced NCS Engineer to support program implementation and engineering system design under general supervision.

You will prepare NCS evaluations and determinations, perform CI document work, and provide technical ownership for assigned projects in a DOE-regulated environment. Ideal candidates hold a BS in a related field with 7+ years of relevant experience, possess strong communication skills, and have or be able to obtain a DOE L clearance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a related field with 7+ years of engineering experience.
• DOE L clearance or ability to obtain it is required.
• Expert understanding of codes, standards, and industry practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare NCS Evaluations (NCSEs), NCSDs, NCSRs, calculations, and RCSEs as qualified.
• Lead sections of CI document development and conduct peer reviews.
• Ensure compliance with DOE regulations and standards across projects.
