X Energy, LLC in the United States is seeking a Nuclear Criticality Safety professional to ensure fissile materials are processed and handled safely under NRC 10 CFR 70 guidelines. The role spans design through operation, ensuring subcriticality and ISA risk management across processes.

The position requires ABET-accredited STEM credentials, extensive NCS experience, and proficiency with SCALE/MCNP. It offers onsite work and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field from ABET-accredited school.
• Experience with safety basis evaluations identifying NCS limits and controls.
• Familiarity with ANSI/ANS-8.26-2007 training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define safety basis for fissile material operations and monitor NCS controls.
• Develop/review NCS evaluations to demonstrate subcriticality.
• Execute NCS computer codes to support evaluations.
• Lead Process Hazards Analysis with multidiscipline teams.
• Advise operations and engineering on NCS impacts of changes.
• Conduct surveillances, inspections, and audits of fissile material operations.
• Develop NCS postings and operator aids for administrative controls.
• Support emergency response activities.
