Lowell Community Health Center, Inc. is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to serve as Lead Provider for our Walk-In Center. You will supervise clinical staff, mentor new and new-grad providers, and partner with the nurse manager to shape patient care pathways.

The role emphasizes teaching, collaboration, and delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced setting, including initiation of evidence-based pharmacotherapies and ensuring thorough documentation and compliance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing and NP certification.
• 2–5 years of clinical practice, with addiction medicine/urgent care/walk-in experience.
• Active state NP license, board certification, DEA license.
• BLS certification current.
• Experience in emergency/ambulatory care settings preferred.
• Strong leadership and mentorship abilities.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Patient-centered care philosophy and compassionate approach.
• Proficient with clinical management systems (EPIC) and MS Office.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient-centered care with comprehensive health assessments and history reviews.
• Interview patients, perform exams, and update medical histories.
• Order/interpret diagnostic tests and address abnormal findings.
• Administer/authorize injections, immunizations, and wound care.
• Lead and mentor daily walk-in operations, with multidisciplinary huddles.
• Develop clinical pathways and protocols in collaboration with staff.
• Educate and counsel patients on therapies, family planning, and wellness.
• Maintain accurate medical records ensuring compliance and privacy.
• Collaborate with Lowell CHC team to coordinate care and transfers.
• Act as preceptor and mentor for new staff and trainees.
