Impact You'll Make

Develop proposal content providing value to our customers and GE Vernova while minimizing risks and offering standardized products where possible to avoid unnecessary customization. Adhere to GE Vernova Gas Power Engineering standard work policies and procedures, and drive consistent functional specifications and common global processes for projects implementation.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the technical content of proposals for GEV Combined Cycle power plant configuration, working with the Commercial Operations, Product Engineering and Product Management teams to win profitable projects for GEV Gas Power
• Coordinate the evaluation of customer requirements via review of RFPs to ensure proper selection of GEV Generator and electrical systems scope of supply items.
• Evaluate and develop comments and exceptions to RFPs, identifying how GEV equipment complies or where it does not fully meet customer specifications.
• Perform analysis of customer conditions to develop or assist in the development of the Generator electrical design.
• Identify customer requested special requirements and develop strategies with engineering/sourcing teams to provide competitive solutions with 100% timeliness.
• Develop expertise in requirements management and costing processes, documenting customer-specific configurations and assisting in developing proposal costing.
• Attend internal project meetings to establish strategies for winning, and customer meetings during negotiations.
• Interpret customer requirements to determine proper application of GE equipment to ensure competitiveness and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure the on-time completion of all proposal activities including quality, cost, reliability, and performance initiatives.
• Recognize and communicate schedule or requirement issues early for resolution.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 9 years of experience in Generator engineering.
• 5 years of experience in Engineering/Technology, Customer Bid & Proposal, or related Generator/Controls/Electrical Systems and Gas Power equipment.

Additional Information

For U.S. candidates, the base pay range is $88,600 - $147,600 USD per year, influenced by experience, education, and skills. The position is eligible for a 10% performance bonus and may include geographic differentials of 110%, 120%, or 130%. This role remains open until at least 5/1/25.
