Job summary

Wabtec is seeking an Engineering Technical Leader to design and integrate Ethernet networks for locomotive control systems. You will ensure robust, secure, and scalable data exchange between distributed controllers across multiple locomotive platforms.

You will bridge network architecture, control behavior, and validation, supporting hands-on validation in simulation labs and on locomotives while traveling as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with networked control systems and Ethernet-based networking.
• Familiarity with MBSE SysML and INCOSE practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the control system network architecture and data flows.
• Own integration of distributed control nodes across locomotive networks.
• Develop and execute network-focused system integration test plans (SIL/HIL).
• Validate network performance against latency, throughput, and availability.
• Collaborate to ensure consistent interface definitions and assumptions.
• Plan work for features and ensure test assets are available.
