Job summary

Amtex Systems Inc. is seeking a Lead Network Engineer to drive network design and strategy using Cisco Nexus platforms. The role involves implementing LAN/WAN infrastructure, leading complex projects, and ensuring secure, resilient connectivity.

Strong CCNP-level expertise and leadership are required. The position requires 7+ years of direct networking experience, hands-on routing/switching and firewall proficiency (Palo Alto, Cisco), and familiarity with Azure/AWS cloud settings.

Job description

We have an urgent role of Network Engineer Lead.

URGENT HIRE!

Network Engineer Lead is the lead technician for overall network design and strategies, and designs and implements the network infrastructure utilizing Cisco Nexus platform. Incumbent configures and administers complex LAN and WAN technologies.

Lead Network Engine provides detailed documentation of network changes and creates & maintains Visio network drawings. Individual resolves daily connectivity issues within the service desk queue in a timely manner as well as offer immediate assistance as needed.

Contract to hire Position Length: 6 months

Target Start: ASAP

Skills:

LICENSING/CERTIFICATION

CCNP or similar certification or equivalent demonstrable experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

5+ years of experience, Advanced networking skills in route/switch and firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco), Intermediate knowledge in Azure and/or AWS cloud, and Intermediate knowledge with SDWAN Interview process.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum seven (7) years' direct experience in networking systems, computer repair and network operations.

Experience leading in four (4) or more large-scale projects.

Knowledge of operations and procedures including configuring, tuning, monitoring, securing, and managing network software and hardware.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems, or related. In lieu of degree, five (5) years equivalent experience will be considered.
