Job summary

ABCS, Inc. IT Executive and Contingent Workforce Staffing seeks a Network Engineer Lead to design and implement enterprise network infrastructure using Cisco Nexus platforms.

You will lead network design, document changes, and maintain Lucid drawings while addressing daily connectivity issues from the service desk queue. Requirements include 7+ years in networking, experience leading large projects, and strong routing/switching with Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls.

Job Description:

Duties

Network Engineer Lead is the lead technician for overall network design and strategies, and designs and implements the network infrastructure utilizing Cisco Nexus platform. Incumbent configures and administers complex LAN and WAN technologies. Lead Network Engineer provides detailed documentation of network changes and creates & maintains Lucid network drawings. Individual resolves daily connectivity issues within the service desk queue in a timely manner as well as offer immediate assistance as needed.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum seven (7) years' direct experience in networking systems, network operations, and enterprise networking.

Experience leading in four (4) or more large-scale projects.

Knowledge of operations and procedures, including configuring, tuning, monitoring, securing, and managing network software and hardware.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems, or related. In lieu of degree, five (5) years' equivalent experience will be considered.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience: 5+ years of experience, Advanced networking skills in route/switch and firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco), Intermediate knowledge in Azure and/or AWS cloud, and Intermediate knowledge with SDWAN

LICENSING/CERTIFICATION - Nice to Have:

CCNP or similar certification or equivalent demonstrable experience.
