Job summary

Allied Consultants, Inc., based in Austin, is seeking an experienced Lead Network Engineer to drive design, implementation, and optimization of the client network infrastructure across multiple remote locations. You will oversee data/voice network components, monitor performance, and ensure secure, scalable operations.

Ideal candidates hold CCNA/CCNP/CCIE certifications and have hands-on Aruba device experience, IPsec, SAN technologies, cloud networking, and virtualization.

Qualifications

• Lead administration of an enterprise network with multiple remote locations.
• Experience implementing and maintaining site-to-site/IPsec tunnelling.
• Experience configuring and managing a variety of network monitoring tools.
• Experience administering SAN architecture networks (switches/routers/bridges) and related protocols (iSCSI, FCoE, AoE, FCP).
• Experience administering cloud networking.
• Experience administering networks in a virtualization environment.
• Experience in management of Aruba Network devices.
• Preferred: Experience coordinating/using vendor provided support.
• Preferred: Experience in fast-paced environments with changing priorities.
• Preferred: Experience with Aruba ClearPass and Central.

Responsibilities

• Performs highly complex or advanced (senior-level) network administration work to the client network infrastructure.
• Plan, design, monitor, and integrate system components for data/voice networks, including hardware and software; evaluate potential enhancements.
• Install, maintain, or oversee installation and maintenance of networks and related hardware.
• Act as Tier III support for network service requests and incidents; work with a security-minded approach.

Responsibilities

Performs highly complex or advanced (senior-level) network administration work to the client network infrastructure. Work involves planning, designing, monitoring, and integrating system components for data/voice networks, existing network hardware and software; and evaluating potential network enhancements; as well as installing, maintaining, or overseeing the installation and maintenance of networks and network related hardware. This position also acts as Tier III support for network related service requests and incidents. Works under limited or minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.All work must be done with a security mindset.

Other Special Requirements

• Candidate must have CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certification.

• Preference is for candidates to be temp to hire eligible.
