Job summary

Calance in the United States seeks a senior network engineer responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex communication networks across WAN, data center, and core networks. You will manage switching hardware from core to edge, document configurations, monitor performance, and enforce change control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent education and experience.
• 7+ years of network engineering experience in large WAN/LAN environments.
• Experience with core, distribution, and access switching and routing.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, QoS, MPLS, IPSec.
• Ability to work independently and lead teams when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, architect, and manage network infrastructure to support business initiatives.
• Monitor network performance and propose upgrades based on utilization.
• Collaborate with Technical Architects on network and system designs.
• Troubleshoot advanced network issues and assist junior engineers.
• Document networks using Visio or equivalent tools and maintain change control.
