Job summary
Insight Global is seeking a Numerical Control (NC) Programmer to join our programming team. The NC Programmer will support programming projects using various machine tools, controls and software, owning programs through implementation into production and providing shop support throughout the development cycle.
Requirements include a STEM degree with 5+ years in engineering/manufacturing or an Associate degree with 7+ years, plus proficiency with NX and Vericut, and strong process improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 5+ years in engineering/manufacturing OR an Associate degree with 7+ years.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with graphic programming, part modeling and program simulation software (NX, Vericut).
- Understanding and use of optimization software including Vericut, Force, Thirdwave, and CutPro/Machpro.
Responsibilities
- Own NC programs from development to production implementation.
- Provide shop support through the development and production cycle.
- Collaborate with NC programming team on process improvements and new techniques.
- Support NP I projects and assist in capital equipment selection and deployment.
