Job summary

Advanced Navigation in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Navigation Solutions Architect to design technical solutions for key customers using the company’s product portfolio. You will translate customer requirements into architectural designs, lead validation efforts, and collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to shape the roadmap.

The role involves working with major accounts across Commercial and Defense sectors, mentoring team members, and occasional travel up to 25% to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Master's preferred) or 20+ years of relevant experience.
• Must be able to obtain Secret Clearance (current preferred or recently lapsed acceptable).
• Extensive experience (20+ years) in a highly technical, customer-facing role.
• Strong knowledge of inertial navigation systems, GNSS, and related sensors.
• ITAR familiarity and clearance requirements for the AMER region.

Responsibilities

• Translate high-level client requirements into architectural navigation system designs and hardware/software configurations.
• Lead the design and architectural validation of Advanced Navigation product configurations for client mission profiles.
• Lead the design and execution of proof-of-concept projects to validate proposed solutions.
• Provide technical mentorship to the Application Engineering team.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing and Customer Success.
