General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a Structural Engineer for the Reactor Plant Planning Yard (RPPY) to support naval submarine modernization and maintenance programs. You will provide engineering guidance for alterations and ensure technical quality while coordinating with design teams to meet schedules and budgets.

The role requires a BS in a relevant engineering field, 5+ years of experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Civil, Marine, Materials, or Aerospace engineering.
• 5+ years of engineering experience post graduation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Responsabilités

• Act as the lead engineer on ship alterations to support fleet modernization.
• Lead engineers overseeing all aspects of alterations, including funding approval, site visits, overall technical quality, maintaining schedules, awareness of budgets, and interfacing with other engineering and design disciplines.
