Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Natural Resources Scientist for the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas office to support wetlands delineations, T&E assessments, and NEPA documentation. You will lead project scope, schedule, and budgeting while ensuring data quality and client satisfaction.

The role involves coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to winning proposals, and developing pricing strategies to maintain profitability across projects in the DFW region and beyond.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with wetland delineation and permitting.
  • Experience with NEPA documentation and environmental site assessment.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to direct staff and mentor junior team members.
  • Willingness to travel 10–20% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead wetlands delineation and Preliminary Jurisdictional Determinations.
  • Prepare NEPA documentation and permit applications.
  • Manage Natural Resources projects across regions including DFW, TX, OK, LA.
  • Collaborate with Terracon offices to align best practices on large projects.
  • Support business development and client relationship building.
