Job summary

Hiatus Day Spa & Med Spa in Texas is seeking a dynamic Lead in Nail Therapy to elevate performance, professionalism, and culture of the Nail Therapy Team. You will coach therapists, coordinate training, and ensure exceptional guest care while partnering with Spa Manager and Education Manager.

Qualifications

• Licensed Nail Therapist with 1 year spa or salon experience.
• Advanced training in nail therapies including French manicures, nail art, and reflexology.
• Authorized to work in the United States; weekend/evening availability.

We are seeking a dynamic Lead in Nail Therapy to join our leadership team, someone who will deliver our educational programs and uphold service excellence with passion and consistency, inspiring our team to provide five-star care and expertise.

Position Overview:

The Lead role is a position dedicated to elevating the performance, professionalism, and culture of the Nail Therapy Team. Serving as the primary support and point of contact for all Nail Therapists at the location, the Lead plays a pivotal role in coaching, development, education, and operational excellence. This position requires up to 6 hours per week for lead duties, with the possibility of additional approved hours during advanced training or other special needs assigned by the Education Team.

As a champion of The Hiatus Way, the Lead ensures our standards of exceptional guest care are upheld every service, every time, while motivating the team, fostering continuous growth, and maintaining an organized, high-functioning department. Partnering closely with both the Spa Manager and Education Manager, the Lead ensures alignment in goals, training initiatives, and overall service quality, serving as a key ambassador for our culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the go-to leader for your department, ensuring a seamless experience for both therapists and guests by monitoring performance, providing timely feedback, and offering ongoing support.
• Conduct new hire training programs for nail therapists in your location, focusing on the essential services, product knowledge, and creating exceptional spa experiences.
• Assist with new spa openings in the market
• Play an active role in building a high-performing team by assisting in the practical interview process, welcoming new hires, and supporting a strong, excellence-driven onboarding experience.
• Provide hands-on coordination during new hire training, including being present for test-outs, offering real-time guidance, and managing the distribution and collection of feedback forms.
• Champion The Hiatus Way by coaching therapists using performance metrics, delivering constructive feedback, and fostering a positive, professional, and growth-minded environment.
• Collaborate with the Education Manager to facilitate ongoing education by leading training focused on advanced techniques, enhancing the guest experience, and deepening product knowledge—empowering the team to perform at their highest level.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Nail Therapist with 1 year of experience in a spa or salon setting and/or 6 months with Hiatus
• Strong knowledge of nail products, treatments, and techniques, with advanced training in nail therapies, including French manicures, nail art, and reflexology.

Emphasis on luxury, warm and friendly customer service

Must be authorized to work in the United States

Availability on weekends and evenings

• Proficient in using Zenoti for training, reporting, and operational efficiency.
• Demonstrates exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong passion for teaching and mentoring team members.
• Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.
