Job summary

Valley Hospital in Phoenix seeks a Lead Music, Art Recreation, (MART) Therapist to guide therapeutic services as part of the interdisciplinary team. You will define treatment goals, oversee MART activities, and provide ongoing patient care, observation, and role modeling to patients, supporting the department's mission of compassionate care and evidence-based mental health treatment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master’s level in a related therapeutic discipline with licensure potential.
Minimum 2 years of related experience with psychiatric patient care preferred.
Certification/licensure in Music, Art, Recreation or Music Therapy, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
CPR certification required prior to hire.
Preventative Management Aggressive Behavior Training (SAMA) required prior to restraining procedures.
Overtime and flexible hours may be required.

Responsibilities

Lead MART Therapist duties as directed by the Director of MART.
Plan and implement therapeutic services for assigned program with defined goals.
Provide continuous patient care, observation, and role modeling as part of the treatment team.
