Job summary

Pretend City Children’s Museum in Irvine, CA seeks a full-time Lead Museum Support to guide the museum floor educators and ensure high-quality daily programming, visitor engagement, and safe, welcoming experiences for families.

The role requires at least two years of experience with young children, a degree in Education or related field, strong communication, weekend availability, and the ability to lead staff, volunteers, and interns in a fast-paced public setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years related experience working with young children and families.
• Degree or pursuit of higher education in Education, Early Childhood Education or Child Development is preferred.
• Excellent written and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
• Proven ability to be a dynamic, outgoing leader.
• Must be able to work on weekend days and occasional holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead museum floor educators and ensure the quality of daily programming.
• Provide welcoming, engaging visitor experiences and promote learning through play.
• Support and encourage grown-up guests to engage with their children during visits.
• Collaborate to keep museum areas clean, organized, and visitor-friendly.
