Job summary

National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation in Arlington, Texas seeks a Lead Honor Guide to serve as ambassador, lead tours, support visitor experiences, and coordinate the Honor Guide team.

This role works with the Sr. Manager of Interpretation & Content Strategy and MOD to ensure smooth operations, train staff, and align tours with museum content.

Candidates should have a degree in education or museum studies, museum experience, and ability to work evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in education, museum studies, history, or related field.
• Experience as a docent, gallery attendant, or tour guide in a museum.
• Experience teaching multigenerational audiences.
• Experience leading guest-facing teams.
• Basic familiarity with Medal of Honor history.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead museum tours highlighting themes, contexts, artifacts.
• Support daily tour operations and logistics.
• Train and mentor new Honor Guides.
• Provide accurate, engaging content to visitors.
• Collaborate with REC and Education to align tours.
