Job summary
Laurel Lake Retirement Community, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform major and minor interior and exterior repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry and related trades to keep the facility in optimal condition.
You will guide and assist less experienced staff, handle on-call duties, respond to emergencies, and complete work orders with professionalism. A high school diploma or equivalent and trade certification are preferred, with 5+ years in multi-trade building
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade certification a plus.
- +5 yrs building maintenance across multiple trades.
- Certification in one or more trades required - OR - +10 years general maintenance experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform major and minor interior and exterior repairs across trades.
- Handle plumbing and electrical tasks; troubleshoot/diagnose issues.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and renovations.
- Complete work orders and respond to resident requests promptly.
- Participate in on-call duties and emergencies.
