Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Eligibility to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Active Illinois Teaching License (PEL) with an ESL endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Administer and oversee EL Program Compliance.
• Teach ESL or Sheltered Instruction Content courses and support language development for ML students.
• Collaborate with content teachers to embed language development strategies and modifications into general education instruction.
• Build staff knowledge and skills to support ML students across all classrooms.
• Manage Language Specialist (ESL Teacher) to meet key job responsibilities.
• Teach and advise an advisory for families, meeting daily to assess progress toward promotion and build community.
