Job Description

The Multi-Modality Lead Tech reports to the manager of CT. They are responsible for assisting the CT Manager with daily operations of the BBEMC radiology department. They will be responsible for monitoring the BBEMC radiology staff, prioritizing patient workload and providing guidance and accountability to team members. They must be able to fully function in all areas of the department. They are expected to provide quality imaging and patient care within two or more imaging modalities-CT and Xray. The technologist must be able to effectively explain the procedures to the patient and be sure they are competent in the procedure being performed. The technologist must produce images for the interpretation, and or request of, a licensed practitioner.

1 year of Radiologic experience Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA), and must obtain Advanced Modality registration within 1 year of hire date. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
