Job summary

Baptist Health in Downtown Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Lead MRI Technologist for our MRI department. This is a full‑time leadership role focused on both the quality and quantity of MRI procedures, staff training, and equipment evaluations.

The ideal candidate has inpatient and outpatient experience, ER exposure, and a proven ability to orient new staff, manage schedules, participate in budget planning, and drive performance reviews. Eligible for a sign‑on bonus up to $10,000.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a clinical setting.
• Experience working in a radiology department.
• Imaging experience across MRI modalities.
• MRI Technologist experience in a hospital environment.
• Experience delivering patient care in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• In a leadership role, oversee MRI procedures and staff performance.
• Ensure quality and quantity targets for MRI work are met.
• Assist in equipment evaluations and ensure staff compliance.
• Orient new employees to the department and processes.
• Handle payroll and timekeeping for MRI staff.
• Create staff work assignments and schedules.
• Participate in annual performance evaluations for personnel.
• Conduct verbal disciplinary reviews and document outcomes.
• Contribute to budget planning and departmental planning.
• Order supplies and maintain MRI department inventory.
