Job summary

Carousel is seeking a Motion Designer to lead design and motion across multiple streams for top brands in San Diego. You will collaborate with a growing team, shaping brand systems, graphic design, motion graphics and digital experiences.

Ideal candidates bring 5–10 years of design experience, mastery of Figma and Adobe tools, and a keen eye for culture and trends in sport, fashion, technology and lifestyle. On-site role with world-class clients and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Four Year Degree, Design Emphasis
• 5-10 Years Professional Experience - Design Studio, Advertising Agency, Production Company.
• Mastery of Figma, Adobe, AfterEffects, Premier, Maya, Blender and similar.
• Tastemaker with awareness to cultural trends across sport, fashion, technology and lifestyle.
• Ability to work in a fast paced creative environment with the best brands in the world.
• High attention to detail required to work on industry-leading work for world-class clients.
• Growth mindset and desire to learn and challenge yourself in new ways.

Responsibilities

• Leadership: provide leadership and collaboration across Carousel’s clients and projects.
• Presenting: strong presentation skills, master of deck building and communicating ideas quickly.
• Branding: ability to create sharp and relevant branding solutions that carry powerful longevity.
• Typography: mastery of type design, especially designing with motion, video, digital and print.
• Campaigns: ability to translate your design skillset to art direction, creating innovative campaigns.
• Motion/2D/3D: work with 3D/Motion designers to bring your design to life in 2D, 3D and motion.
• Guidelines: build inspiring brand guidelines that clearly articulate your design language.
