Truity Partners LLC is actively seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our client’s team in the Janesville, WI area or Aurora, IL. The role focuses on leading monthly closes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and coaching the accounting staff to excel in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in leadership.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
• 2+ years of accounting leadership, supervisory, or management experience required.
• Strong hands-on background with general ledger accounting and month-end close.
• Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP or accounting systems.

Responsabilidades

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities and meet reporting deadlines.
• Oversee general ledger accounting and maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and other supporting accounting schedules.
• Prepare and review financial statements and recurring management reporting.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts and investigate significant or unusual activity.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and development to members of the accounting team.
• Establish team priorities, review work, and ensure accounting responsibilities are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accounting policies, procedures, documentation, and internal controls.
• Partner with Finance and other departments to resolve accounting issues and improve the quality of financial information.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities as needed.
• Coordinate audit requests and prepare supporting schedules and documentation.
• Research accounting questions and assist with determining appropriate treatment for transactions.
• Identify opportunities to improve close procedures, reporting, controls, and accounting workflows.
• Support accounting system enhancements and other process improvement initiatives.
• Assist with special projects and broader accounting initiatives as business needs evolve.]
