Job summary

Guidepost Montessori is seeking a Lead Toddler Guide to lead a 2-3 toddler classroom in a Montessori environment designed for exploration and independence. You will observe, plan individualized lessons, and guide children toward language, self-regulation, and confidence.

You’ll foster a calm, curious classroom, partner with families, and support children’s growth through careful observation and respectful guidance. The role emphasizes leadership and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children ages 0-3 in a group care or early learning setting.
• Alignment with child-led educational approaches (Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or similar).
• Interest in fully sponsored Montessori certification.
• Required ECE or Child Development credits.
• Bachelor’s degree (Child related field)

Responsibilities

• Observe and support each child’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly classroom that fosters focus, independence, and exploration.
• Lead classroom routines and collaborate with team members to create a joyful community.
• Provide lessons in practical life skills, language development, and grace and courtesy.
• Build warm, trusting relationships with children and families.
• Communicate and collaborate with parents to support each child’s growth.
